What is spyware and adware?
Spyware consists of small programs that install themselves on your computer without your knowledge. The most common place to get them is from file sharing sites, free games, free screensavers and other “free downloads” as well as pornographic sites, peer to peer file sharing applications and other similar content. Adware are similar to spyware programs. They work in the same way, but get their name because they add unwanted programs to your computer. Many of these spyware programs are advertised as adware or “freeware” and may not sound all that dangerous when you first hear about them. What does spyware do to my computer?
If the name alone wasn’t enough to tell you it’s a bad thing, you’ll know for sure when you find out what it does. Spyware, once installed in your computer tracks your internet activity. It logs the websites you visit, tracks keystrokes, passwords and much more. It may record and remember the type of websites you visit often and offer pop ups based on your proven internet activity. This information would then be sent back to a host server without the victim every knowing they have been intruded upon. There are even programs like this that will log chats, instant messengers and even turn on a person’s web camera. This is obviously more than a personal violation as it would also allow the thief to access to credit card and bank information, personal passwords and much more.
This type of internet spying can cause serious problems for people who do online banking, purchase things online and handle accounts and other information via the internet. In addition to doing a very detailed check of your browser history, spyware can also install DLLs and other executable files, which will send a continuous data stream of information about your computer out to the parent company. This opens a backdoor to your machine which hackers can also use to access and intercept your personal data and confidential information. They can also send and receive cookies from other spyware/adware programs and invite them to your computer as well. So while you may start out with one program, you may end up with several.

The software add-on upgrade is an option that will allow you to have accessibility rights over the new modified and improved software versions of Orbasoft® Utilities™ for 3 years (instead of 1 year). We release a new and improved version of Orbasoft® Utilities™ every 6-9 months. Our Research and Development department continuously works on bringing innovation into the software features and improving the scanner, both regarding amount of errors and threats traced as well as scanning time optimizations. What is the difference between the free trial and the paid version?
The free trial version of Orbasoft® Utilities™ offers you the full scanning and software features. See the

What is Ignore List?

You may enable or disable scheduled scans. By enabling scheduled scans option you can set Orbasoft® Utilities™ to conduct daily/weekly and quick/deep scan on a particular day and a particular time. If my software is not working properly, what should I do?
If a problem arises where your software is not working properly or you are experiencing problems in installing the software system, just email us with the screen shots, error code and/or error message (if any) and our dedicated customer support team will immediately take notice of your problem. If my existing software is facing updating problems, what should I do?
If you are using an older version of Orbasoft® Utilities™, then first uninstall it, and then try to
redownload the latest version here. Make sure to delete cashe, cookies and temporary internet files. Also open Internet Explorer -> Click on Tools -> Click on Internet Options -> General -> Settings -> Check for newer versions of stored pages "Every visit to the page”. If you are using the latest version then make sure you installed it properly and there were no corrupt system files. If the problem persists please send an email to our customer support. We would like to order a license for more than 5 computers?

If Orbasoft® Utilities™ does not detect a spyware, what will I do?
If such an unusual situation comes when Orbasoft® Utilities™ is not detecting a threat, just send an email to the customer support department to get it resolved. It happens that some threats are not in our list of spyware and malware definitions. If you know you have a spyware, adware, trojan, keylogger etc, then just email us (remember to add screenshots), and we will add it to our database, and include it in the next Live Update. 72 hours later (or more, depending on the type of threat you have), you then just click on the Life Update button, and make a Deep Scan. Your infection will then be detected and removed.
I am not getting support emails?
Sometimes strong email filters do not allow the support emails to stay in the inbox. They might be treated as spam. You may change your email settings or you may check your spam folder for the emails. Remember you can always contact us via live chat or telephone. We are available 8 hours per day, 7 days a week. As we are based in Denmark you will have to use the Danish Country Prefix when calling us (that is +45 for Denmark).
